HOTEL ALPHA WHISKEY KILO!

A rumbler at heart, this cybernetic alien grease monkey with morphing abilities happened upon archival World War II data and fashioned himself into Hawk P-40 some time ago. Happiest on the battlefield, Hawk P-40 also enjoys working in the repair shop, kicking back some Tangore Buzzjuice, and kicking ass.

The One:12 Collective Hawk P-40 features two head sculpts including a Special Attack Tank-Head with a hinged, grinder jaw. The Fighting Daredevil is outfitted in a Sherpa-lined vest, tank top, two dog tags, belt, cargo pants, and mid-calf combat boots.

Hawk P-40 is ready to wage a one-man war, equipped with a rapid-fire Gattling Cannon, wrench that connects to his belt, communication device that fits on the back of his Special Attack Tank-Head, a rocket launcher, and much more.

Dopetastic...is that a word?

If someone said, "Hey Sonny, how is Hawk P-40? I would get all nervous and yell, "Dopetastic." They say you always remember your first, and we'll, he was my first. It also helps my memory that he came out like a month ago. Anyway, Hawk P-40 is the shark painted airplane/tank head cybernetic creature you never knew you always wanted. Plus he has guns and a pipe wrench. Had it been a torque wrench, he'd be Robo Dominic Torreto. He has some digitized camo pants that cover up the bottom half of his wife beater onesie and a sweet sleeveless bomber jacket to compliment his Doc Marten's. Although, they could be Tim's, not sure, I was more of a Lugz type of dude. Oh, and dude got hands for daaaaaaays. He has fistung hands, grabby hands, he has those, "pay me my money," hands, and what looks to be like intergalactic jazz hands(?), someone at Mezco will need to verify that. He comes with road flares that are tied together like dynamite in case he has cat troubles on the highway. I like him. You'll like him, too. The only complaint I have is that his shoulder protector thingamajiggy falls out very easily from his right arm when I make believe he's flying through the air. Out of a million points, I'd say he's 1,472,097.

AMAZING

I've had multiple encounters with premium figures before but none, not a single one, even ones that cost twice as much as Hawk here, have ever met the standard that Mezco has set with their releases.
Let's start off with the package you'll get from Fedex; It's super sturdy, double-wrapped with Mezco tape, and the contents protected by big bubblewrap. You'll then see the beautiful black sable box with a magnetic clasp holding the double-gatefold shut, and if you're very very lucky, you'll also find a micro mez-it inside as well!
The box itself, that holds 3 vacuum trays full of Hawk and his accessories, is easy to get into and no tape or twist ties to dispose of. And let me tell you; I have never realized how much I hate that until I didn't have to deal with it.
The figure itself is excellent. The tailoring of the cloth goods is stellar and tip-top of the barrel. He has functional pockets, a functional scaled zipper that isn't huge, and a belt which, I'm afraid on mine was a little bit difficult to get to stay closed, but with a little fiddling, I was able to make it work just fine!
I love that he can carry almost all his gear on him, barring the big guns. I would have liked it if he had a couple of loops for the grenades on his belt, but they actually tuck into the top of his boots perfectly and look awesome.
His articulation is extremely smooth and you can get him into a lot of fantastic poses, the pegs on his hands and neck are extremely easy to work with, there's no stickyness or soft-feeling pegs that make you wonder if it's gonna break or not.
Finally, the comic. It's a treat, a real treat that feels JUST like one of those old rags from the early 80's and late 70's, complete with the ubiquitous ads for ol' Slugfest's emporium and a send up of the '100 piece army set in a foot locker!!' ads that were on the back of dang near every comic that I pored through back in the day.

I love this figure, it's an amazing piece with fantastic artwork, and it's also fun to pose. Don't miss out, it really is amazingly good.
