The World Is Yours!
Scarface debuted in 1983 And was directed by Brian De Palma, Oliver Stone wrote the expletive-packed screenplay. The groundbreaking film starred Al Pacino as Tony Montana, whose intelligence, guts, and ambition help him skyrocket from dishwasher to king of a criminal empire, whose eventual paranoia and love of excess prove his undoing. Michelle Pfeiffer plays Tony’s neglected coke-addicted trophy wife, and Steven Bauer is his friend and partner. The cast also includes, F. Murray Abraham, Robert Loggia, and Paul Shenar as some of Tony’s sleazy business partners and potential killers.
The movie has since grown to icon status, and Tony Montana is one of the seminal characters in modern American movies, a character who has inspired countless others. Twenty-five years later, its popularity continues to grow, and the 2003 special edition DVD sold at record-breaking numbers. The movie continues to influence pop-culture today, from hip-hop to television, its influence can still be seen.
The first assortment of 10" scale stylized figures was released in fall of 2004. The Rise, The Runner, The Enforcer and The Player comprised the case assortment. An exclusive version of Scarface, titled The Fall was available only at Tower Records stores.
